J’ai eu la chance de passer une journée avec un des acteurs les plus emblématiques d’Hollywood. Il venait de se marier en 5ème noce avec Barbara Harris, une jeune actrice américaine de 47 ans sa cadette. Elle l’accompagnait dans son escapade parisienne. Cary Grant avait tourné avec les plus grands réalisateurs dont Alfred Hitchcock qui, bien connu pour ne pas aimer les acteurs, disait de lui « qu’il était le seul acteur qu’il ait jamais aimé de toute sa vie ». Contrairement aux starlettes et autres vedettes débutantes, Cary était resté simple et sans méfiance à l’égard de mon appareil photo. Il était à l’époque, l’ambassadeur de Fabergé et parcourait le monde pour promouvoir cette marque de prestige. Cary Grant était très joueur avec moi. J’ai pu réaliser des images de lui chez Maxim’s et des photos amusantes prés du petit Guignol, en bas des champs Elysée. Un endroit qu’il avait fréquenté dans sa jeunesse.

I was lucky enough to spend a day with one of Hollywood’s most emblematic actors. He had just got married for the fifth time, to Barbara Harris, a young actress 47 years his junior. She joined him on his Parisian escapade. Cary Grant had filmed with the best directors, including Alfred Hitchcock who, despite having a well-known dislike for actors, said that Grant was “the only actor that he’d ever liked in his whole life.” Unlike the starlets and other budding celebrities, Cary stayed down-to-earth and unfazed by my camera. At the time, he was an ambassador for Fabergé and travelled all around the world promoting this prestigious brand. Cary Grant played around with me. I was able to get shots of him in Maxim’s and funny photos near the little puppet show at the bottom of the Champs Elysées, a place he used to visit when he was young.

Мы сделали снимки в ресторане Maxim’s, и еще – несколько веселых фотографий возле театра Марионеток на Елисейских Полях – он рассказал, что часто бывал там в молодости.
