C’était mon dernier grand voyage avant de venir en Europe. J’étais allée au Mato Grosso do Sul pour aller voir la tante de ma compagne qui était gravement malade. J’ai pu sentir que la fin approchait, une fin différente pour toutes les trois. Ce fût le grand « Au-revoir ». Sa tante est partie, elle est partie et moi aussi.

The one who was taken away

This was my last big trip before coming to Europe. I went to the Mato Grosso do Sul to visit my girlfriend’s aunt, who was seriously ill. I could feel that the end was near, a different end for each of us. This was the great “farewell”. Her aunt died, she left, and so did I.
